Technology skills in demand, particularly in the US

As our usage of mobile phones and computers grow, so too does the storage, security and management of the huge volume of data we are creating on these devices, known as big data. This means professionals with technology and data skills will be in hot demand in 2014, according to global recruitment firm Hydrogen.

It predicts the creation of global tech hubs will attract top professionals from around the world. Dominic McNamara, global leader of Hydrogen’s Technology Practice, said: “Technology is being talked about much more by the wider business community, especially in the US and UK which are seeing major investment into big data companies.”
