EBay’s retail Big Data play tells clerks your bra size and inseam

eBay Inc. is taking previously online-only retail analytics into brick-and-mortar stores with a new product aimed at sales employees. The San Jose company’s new Retail Associate Platform was launched at a showcase event on Thursday. The product — aimed at retailers both small and large — fuses data about consumers, products and inventory with social media conversations and point-of-sale technology.
