Data pulled from the Internet is faulty

Millions of Americans are caught in a credit “Catch-22”: they don’t have enough of a credit history to generate a credit score so they can’t get credit, meaning they can’t build up a credit history, meaning, well… you get the point.

A new report from the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) says when financial services companies want to check the creditworthiness of these invisible consumers, they turn to data mining companies, buying reports that are often faulty. You can read their full report here.
