Big Data consulting startup Experfy raises $1.5M to compete with Deloitte, McKinsey

The Boston, MA-based Big Data and analytics consulting marketplace startup, Experfy, announced earlier today that it has raised a $1.5 million seed round of funding. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the round was led by XPRIZE chairman and CEO Peter Diamandis. The round also included participation from Harvard Business School professor Tarun Khanna; Intrado president, George Heinrichs; former chief innovation officer of the Agency for International Development, Maura O’Neill; former president of Singularity University, Neil Jacobstein; Thomson Reuters global head of trading compliance, Miftah Khan; and Smart Launch cofounder, Rawy Iskander.
