Aerospace, energy and big data: How the Knowledge Fund could affect Reno’s bottom line

Brainy jobs: If the fund is passed by the Nevada Legislature, it will go to higher education projects aimed at providing research and job training in areas that are economically viable here. Those areas include aerospace, renewable energy, big data analytics and high-performance computing, according to Walt Borland of the Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization (NIREC).
