Shazam records a lot of data on our collective music preferences- and the service is using predictive analytics to assess which breakouts will hit it big in 2014.

Shazam’s 400 million global users make over 15 million song identifications every day, but can cold, hard data predict which artists will surface and shine? Shazam’s rating system has an impressive track record. In 2013, the service claimed Haim and French Montana would hit it big. In 2012, A$AP Rocky and Lana Del Rey were top Shazam up-and-comers.
