Big Data is a big headache for some companies.

Two polls have found that executives in such fields as health care, telecom, gaming and government reluctant to adopt data analytics software — cutting-edge systems enterprises are using to try to manage and make the best use of their growing reams of electronic information, so-called Big Data.

Separate surveys by software vendor 1010data and the Society of Actuaries found executives questioning the costs and complexity of Big Data software. Many question how they’ll find enough qualified personnel to manage such systems. And naysayers question even the basic point of just how much they’ll gain from such systems.
